Press Releases
12 October 2005 : Considering the paucity of serial port in the latest laptop/notebook PCs running Windows*; Genesis has started conversion of its existing serial port devices to USB port devices. The complete conversion will take few months. Conversion of serial port based products PeriScope, AtheroWin and ThesioWin is complete. Other conversions will be announced upon completion.
27 August 2005 : In detection of arterial stiffness, a significant amount of importance is given to Carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (PWV_CF). This has driven Genesis to develop a doppler based   solution to find Carotid femoral PWV "SonoWin_CF". This  is a Windows* based device dedicated to simplifying the process and calculation of Carotid femoral PWV.
23 August 2005 : A research paper "Validity and reproducibility of arterial pulse wave velocity
measurement using new device with oscillometric technique: A pilot study" is published in the international journal Biomedical Engineering Online. This paper validates PeriScope. It may be found here. A pdf version of this paper can be found at this location

A lot of other studies using PeriScope are already over. Analysis of data and paper preparation is underway. All these studies will be published soon.
14 May 2005 : Genesis has completed development of "SonoWin" , a Windows* based doppler ankle brachial index analyzer. This will add to the series of non-invasive atherosclerosis detection devices. The validation studies of this device will begin shortly.
15 February 2005: Genesis has announced its plans to get ISO13485 process certification. This is a step towards international marketing of its products. Subsequently, CE marking for all its devices will also be sought. This will open up European market. Initial ground work for FDA approval is also being carried out.
17 December 2004 : A portable stand alone digital biothesiometer named as "VibroSense" is developed by Genesis. This device uses DC to AC conversion for accurate vibration amplitudes and waveforms. It will enable the clinicians in bedside detection of peripheral neuropathy at an affordable price.
27 July  2004 : Keeping in view the present direction of devices to detect neuropathies, Genesis has developed a new peripheral neuropathy detection device "ThesioWin". This is an automatic digital / PC based vibration perception threshold analyzer.

ThesioWin also incorporates a unique vibration mechanism that gets rid of the hand pressure bias which can affect the VPT values and hence proper diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy will be possible.
17 March 2004 : A device to detect Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy based on Ewing battery of tests named as "CANWin" is unveiled by Genesis. This device can detect sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system damage and diagnose CAN.

A completely automatic device, "CANWin" has a complete set of accessories required for the battery of tests. It can conduct all the maneuver and postural tests as per clinical requirements. This device will enable the clinicians to carry out the CAN tests in a hassle-free way. The validation studies for this device have already started.
01 January 2004 : Genesis has completed development of PC Windows* based new model of "DicroWin_C". This device help the use of PPG analysis in a clinical setup.
14 November 2003 : Genesis has completed development of PC Windows* based new model of "PeriScope". This device will provide a complete Cardiovascular analysis in a clinical setup, epidemiological studies  or in remote places.
15 July 2003 : Genesis has started development of a clinically usable model of DicroWin. The model will be called as "DicroWin_C"; the 'C' signifying clinical use. This model will have superimposed PPG waveforms for quality control, normalized PPG waveform, its first and second derivative.
24 June 2003 : Genesis announces launch of the ABI and ASI analysis system "AtheroWin". This device is based on fully automatic blood pressure measurement and PPG analysis.  The name AtheroWin is derived from Atherosclerosis, the underlying cause of any cardiovascular/ arterial disease.

It can also detect atherosclerosis in its preliminary stages by way of calculating estimated carotid femoral pulse wave velocity. This velocity an also indicate a Psuedo-high ABI value due to calcification.
20 February 2003 : Genesis has decided to discontinue its standalone model of "PeriScope". This decision is taken considering the size of the device. The big size of the device is an the impediment in the logistics sense and hence it can not be carried to remote places by the clinicians to carry out tests. A new PC Windows* based model will soon be launched in its place. This will be a portable model which can be attached to a Laptop PC thus enabling its use for epidemiological studies and diagnosis in remote places.
12 December 2002 : Genesis has started development of a new Ankle brachial index and arterial stiffness index measuring device "AtheroWin". This device will be a fully automatic device with Blood pressure measurement and  PPG analysis.
30 July 2002 : The validation studies of "DicroWin" have been successfully completed and have shown encouraging results. These trials were able to show a significant correlation between the parameters detected by DicroWin and cardiovascular diseases in patients.

This device has proven its CV disease diagnosing capability. The trials were carried out on patients with kidney failure, hypertension, angina and normal subjects. The data obtained showed that the parametric values significantly correlated with the disease. Some more trials are also underway to determine whether this device can be used in detecting early arterial dysfunction in seemingly normal subjects with a high risk lifestyle.
17 March 2002 : Genesis has completed the development of its stand-alone cardiovascular risk analyzer "PeriScope". This device is the most versatile tool to predict, diagnose and prognose any cardiovascular disease like CAD, PAD, CKD or stroke arising out of stiffening of arteries and plaque formation.

This device can detect Arterial stiffness by measuring pulse wave velocities, arterial stiffness indices and ankle brachial indices. It also measures all blood pressures automatically. It also calculates parameters like LVET, Upstroke time, Heart rate etc., which can give a complete risk profile of the patient. Validation studies of this device will start soon.
03 November 2001 : A new PC based photoplethysmographic vascular analyzer "DicroWin" is developed by Genesis. This device a unique non-invasive device that can diagnose arterial stiffness in a human being without any complicated procedures. The test is very simple, fast and accurate. A high Arterial Stiffness can indicate impending cardiovascular disease in the form of CAD, PAD, CKD or stroke. The validation studies of DicroWin will commence in the first week of December 2003.

Genesis is also working feverishly to complete the development of its cardiovascular risk analyzer "PeriScope" which is a standalone device for pulse pressure wave analysis.
12 January 2001: Genesis has decided to concentrate on the emerging field of  Non Invasive cardiovascular pulse wave analysis. This field is rapidly gaining momentum for clinical diagnosis and prognosis of high risk diseases like Atherosclerosis, CVD, CKD, Stroke etc. Genesis will focus on development of new devices in this field. The technologies involved are Photoplethysmography, Arterial  pressure measurements and doppler flow analysis.

Genesis has started design and development of two novel devices namely "DicroWin" and "PeriScope".
